    1. For some reason, their new tourism motto “More Nazi Than Trump” just isn’t attracting people to visit.

    2. And most Florida residents are happy. Oh well, we’re not at 120% capacity for tourism only 90%. Some low wage people will lose their jobs and there will be less traffic and less bullshit to deal with. Florida still has over a $7 billion budget surplus and that’s after factoring in the state run insurance program. Florida will be just fine. I don’t think anyone is shedding tears for the oceanfront condo owners that are having the massive HOA reassessments. The rest of us will take tourism down that’s 30%, the state is still overcrowded with tourists and too many people permanently moving down here every day.

It’s not just one state. Look at Gen Z’s unemployment numbers. That’s who would typically be filling up beach towns this late in the summer more so than families with kids in school or headed back to school.

AI and offshoring have destroyed the less experienced end of the white collar job market. People talk about tariffs but they haven’t even kicked in yet. Prices are very similar to a year ago for most things.

Once you see the college grads at Chik-Fil-A like in the financial collapse we’ll know for sure we’re headed into a recession

    4. You couldn’t intentionally curate a better image of a raging garbage dumpster fire. This just came about organically. Come to sunny Florida!!

Every state is down bad this year because people don’t want to vacation in the US and US citizens can’t afford vacations
